European Film Week to hold workshops

European Film Week in Iran has set to hold filmmaking workshops.

Organized by Art & Experience Cinema Group, the third edition of European Film Week will have 10 famed national and international directors and producers to hold filmmaking workshops.

The international figures to give lessons are announced to be Dutch film director Jean van de Velde, Cypriot film producer Marios Piperides and Swiss film producer Thierry Spicher.

Fereydoun Jeyrani, Rasoul Sadr-Ameli, Mohammad-Mehdi Asgharpour, Maziar Miri, Mehrdad Oskouei, Mani Mir-Sadeghi and Siavash Jamali will be the Iranian cineasts to teach at the workshops.

This year edition of the European Film Week will be hosting films from a number of countries, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.

The screenings will take place in various cities of Iran such as Tehran, Esfahan, Kerman, Mashhad and Tabriz.

The opening ceremony for the film event will be held on June 7 at Iranian Artists Forum in the Iranian capital of Tehran and the event will then run till June 17.
