‘Russian’ set for August screening

Iranian flick ‘Russian’ directed by Amir-Hossein Saqafi is scheduled to be screened this August.

According to a press release, Saqafi’s fourth feature film, produced by Ali-Akbar Saqafi which completed its final editing stages a few months ago, is scheduled to be screened this August in theaters around the country.

‘Russian’ held a limited screening session for for media persons last winter.

Earlier, the film's producer was quoted by the local media as saying that upon screening in Iran, the film will be simultaneously screened in international film festivals.

Having been shot in over 36 different locations, the film is a drama themed around social issues

The main cast of ‘Russian’ consists of Amir Aqaee, Tannaz Tabatabaee, Saber Abar, Milad Keymaram and Kamran Tafti.

In addition to ‘Russian’, Saqafi has ‘Everything for Sale’, ‘The Man who Became a Horse’, and ‘Death is my Business’ in his resume.
