"Thousand Pieces" called Iran: Director to ifilm

In an ifilm exclusive report on Farhad Mehranfar's new film ‘The Dream of Water’, the director calls Iran a land of "Thousand Pieces."

Talking about his latest flick set in Iran dessert area, he said through the ifilm lens that the country resembles a mosaic of thousand pieces just like his inner self, adding he likes making movies in various climates of Iran.

Iran cinematic group of “Art and Experience” is currently playing ‘The Dream of Water’.

Themed around the local identity of Iran desert region, the flick highlights water shortages that could lead to challenges in such areas.

When a young geologist’s car breaks down in the desert on his way to search for groundwater, he reaches an abandoned village. There he goes to the depths of the earth guided an old local living nearby.

The old man learnt about the expertise of the young man so he blocks the geologist’s way, forcing him to find a fountainhead which he believes is situated into the depths of the earth.
