Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian, director of the award-winning flick ‘Midday Adventures’ has begun work on a brand new project.
‘The Story of the Walnut Tree’ written by Ibrahim Amini and directed by Mahdavian was recently granted a production license and has kicked off pre-production.
The news of Mahdavian’s latest project has drawn the excitement of his fans as they eagerly await an update on the storyline the young director will be pursuing in his fifth feature film.
In the meantime, ‘Midday Adventures: Trace of Blood’ the sequel to the director’s ‘Midday Adventures’, was granted a screening license and will begin screening in theaters across Iran.
One of Iran’s most talented directors, Mahdavian’s original ‘Midday Adventures’ was awarded Best Picture as well as Best Picture according to the audience from the Fajr Film Festival.
Mahdavian’s ‘Midday Adventures: Trace of Blood’ was also an award-winning flick receiving three awards at the latest edition of the Fajr Film Festival.
'Midday Adventures' is a political drama based on true events from the early days of the government of the Islamic Republic. At a time of heightened political tensions, a rogue terrorist group known as the MKO begins to assassinate government officials and innocent civilians. Meanwhile, a group of brave, selfless members of the revolutionary guards begin to hunt them down in a set of sophisticated intelligence operations.
