‘The Snail’ wins award in Argentina

Mohammad Torivarian’s ‘The Snail’ has won an award at 2019 edition of CINEVERSATIL Film Festival in Argentina.

The short flick has taken home the Best Foreign Short award of the event. The short film narrates the story of three young boys who are being smuggled into Turkey from Iran by a man who only passes males through the border. The smuggler realizes something strange in the middle of the road and a conflict starts.

Azita Hosseini, Babak Kazemian-Moqaddam, Hossein Mehrpeyma, and Afshin Maleki are among the cast.

‘The Snail’ won a Special Mention at the 14th International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva in Switzerland and went on screen at the 3rd Beloit International Film Festival in the US.

The 9th edition of CINEVERSATIL Film Festival was held June 20-21 , 2019.
