Double Oscar-winner director hailing from Iran made a TV series back in 1999 titled ’Story of a City' before shooting to global prominence with 'A Separation' and 'The Salesman'.
'Hodhod Bookstore' star told ifilm about the series inspiring nostalgia among great Iranian director's fans that "I was so young when I played in the series and the shooting location was somewhere in [Tehran’s] Sanai street.”
He said of the famed Iranian director, "Farhadi was a young director at that time who wrote the screenplay for the series," adding he now realizes even at the time of making 'Story of a City' the director was looking for a good future.
If you are interested to know more about the 1999 series, a plot summary for the production reads, "A group of young people with different tastes gets together for a TV production themed around social issues happening in Iranian capital city of Tehran. Reporting such issues in the TV program links the group to a story.”
