'I'm real estate agent in Iran cinema'

In an ifilm exclusive talk, veteran Iranian actor Abbas Mahboub reveals how Iranian director insists that he needs to reprise the role of real estate agent in Iranian cinema.

Citing a reason for his honorific as "Iranian Cinema Estate Agent", Mahboud said to ifilm that "I was once introduced to director Dehnamaki and he told me you play the role of a real estate agent well and added that I want you to play the role of an agent for me."

The actor has played roles in ifilm series  'What Goes Around, Comes Around' and 'Sweet and Sour'.

He also said to ifilmers on his bio as follows:

"My name is Abbas Mahboub saying hello to you dear ifilm viewers.  Here is my bio and how I became interested in acting. I was born in the south of Tehran, in a hospital located in a street across from Nayeb Saltaneh street named “Kolahdouzan’, but I don’t know the new name now.

In the vicinity of our house, there was a cinema called “Ramsar’ and in old days when there was a movie going on the screen, the sound was played through a loudspeaker and selected photos from the same movie were showcased out of the cinema.

I remember when I was six years old I went to the same cinema for the first time where the Indian movie ‘Homeless’ was played."
