Open enrollment for the 22nd International Storytelling Festival in Tehran begins.
According to a press release, the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in Tehran has announced that the institute will be accepting applications for the enrollment of international participants.
With the motto for this year’s festival being “The Future is Constructible”, the event will be divided into two sections of “Stage Storytelling” and “90-second Story(Film)”, to be held in December of this year.
The “Stage Storytelling” section of the festival will consist of a national and international competition.
Volunteers from various countries along with a selection of winners from previous festivals and professional narrators will be eligible to participate in the festival’s international competition.
A portion of the “Stage Storytelling” will be dedicated to classical and traditional storytelling and another portion will be dedicated to modern and innovative storytelling.
Single narrative storytelling in a 15-minute timeframe while being filmed in a long shot is among the requirements in order to participate in the “Stage Storytelling” competition.
Storytellers interested in participating in the event’s international competition have until September 8, 2019 to register and submit a film of their stories at the festival’s website www.kanoonfest.ir.
