Iranian film ‘Knock Out’ has been screened at the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy.
Directed by Gholamreza Ramezani, the short film has been screened at the competition section of the event.
‘Knock Out’ previously won nomination for the Gryphon award at the 49th edition of the festival.
The film was screened at the ‘Generator +13’ competitive section on July 26.
‘Knock Out’ portrays the story of three teenagers, each striving to become a champion of a reputable cup, although “the champion is not necessarily always the one who wins.”
Nasim Adabi, Afshin Hashemi, Nazanin Ahmadi, Sirous Hemmati, Majid Norouzi, Dorsa Bakhtiar, Sepehrad Farzami, Siavash Assadpour, and Hossein Lotfi are among the film’s cast.
The Giffoni International Film Festival is one of the most well-known children's film festivals in the world. It takes place in the small Italian town of Giffoni Valle Piana in Campania, Southern Italy, close to Salerno and Naples.
The 49th Giffoni International Film Festival was held in July 19-27, 2019 in Italy.
