The 2019 edition of the YVE International Film Festival in China has screened Iranian short ‘It Rains for You’.
Directed by Mohammad-Mehdi Delkhasteh, the short enjoyed its second international screening at the Chinese event.
“The yellow leaves do not fall because of autumn; you are supposed to pass this alley, so they want to carpet your path … Sparrows do not sing out of habit, they are training to sing to welcome you,” a synopsis for ‘It Rains for You’ reads.
The YVE is an event dedicated to help speak the voice for filmmakers of a younger generation. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for young filmmakers to pursue their dreams. The festival strongly adheres to the idea that everybody is capable of creating art.
The YVE has received extensive attention and support from all walks of life since its establishment three years ago, and has received strong support from cultural and creative enterprises and individuals in Suzhou, Hangzhou, and Shanghai.
The 2019 edition of the festival was held on July 27–28 in the Chinese province of Jiangsu.
