Director of ifilm comedy series ‘The Man with a Thousand Faces’ has joined new cinematic project.
Actor/director Mehran Modiri signed up for new film titled ‘The Walnut Tree’ following the news of his costar Peyman Maadi being the first actor to join the flick by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian.
Modiri was nominated for a Fajr International Film Festival's Crystal Simorgh in 2007 for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 'There is Always a Woman Involved'.
Maadi was the recipient of the 36th Fajr Film Festival’s Special Jury Award for his drama ‘Bomb: A Love Story’ - a flick written and directed by Maadi in which he starred in. The actor starred in Farhadi’s Oscar-winning ‘A Separation’ as well.
Written by Ibrahim Amini, ‘The Walnut Tree’ will be featuring other notable actors in the Iranian film industry whose names will be announced in the upcoming days.
Mahdavian is one of Iran’s most talked about directors after his successful title ‘Midday Adventures’ earning Best Film and Best Audience choice awards along with nine nominations at Fajr Film Festival.
Producer Seyed Mostafa Ahmadi has many successful projects in his production credit including the show ‘The Gathering’.
