Iran’s Khorshid Independent Film Festival has signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Germany’s Cellu l’art Short Film Festival.
The two festivals start cooperation in different areas from this year.
The 20th edition of the Cellu l’art festival is scheduled for October in the German city of Jena.
The German festival was established by university students in 1999 to showcase university short films for the public. The Cellu l’art team invites all filmmakers to submit their films and looks forward to welcoming them to Jena.
Curators of the 7th Khorshid fest and 20th Cellu l’art fest will select 5 films to be screened at both festivals. According to the signed MoU, the selected films of each festival will be screened by the other.
Other programs such as press conferences and seminars will be held by the festivals.
Khorshid independent film festival is held annually in Iran. It aims to support the independent cinema with experimental and innovative structure.
