Iran, Russia and South Korea have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost mutual cooperation in the field of cinema on the sidelines of the 32nd International Film Festival for Children and Youth (ICFF) in the Iranian city of Isfahan.

The agreement was signed on Saturday in presence of the secretary general of the Iranian festival, the chairman of the Zero Plus International Festival of Films for Children and Youth in Russia, and the representative of Seoul Guro International Kids Film Festival.

Under the pact, the three countries would increase their joint productions, boost technological exchange between their nations and enhance interactions between the countries’ festivals, the ICFF director Alireza Tabesh said.

The representative of the Seoul Guro International Kids Film Festival also stressed the importance of the agreement.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Zero Plus said “The countries, which are united and work together, understand the thinking of each other.”
