‘Oath’ publishes new poster

Mohsen Tanabandeh’s new feature film ‘Oath’ has unveiled a new poster.

The film, Tanabandeh’s second cinematic flick as director, unveiled a new poster featuring the star of the film Mahnaz Afshar in the foreground.

‘Oath’ has spent its third week in the domestic movie theaters and has succeeded to find its place among the best-selling titles of the week grossing around 5 billion Rials so far.

A brief synopsis for the film reads, “Rezvan is murdered and now her family is after proving the fact that her husband is the one who killed her. The family members led by Rezvan’s sister take a bus to Mashhad where they will testify against Rezvan’s husband swearing on the Quran that he has done it”.

The film was screened at the 37th Fajr Film Festival and got several nominations. Although, it was not able to grab any awards, it received various positive reviews.

The Hollywood Reporter has published a review on the movie and hailed Tanabandeh’s latest film, describing it as the title that “has enough drama and vivid characters to find festival favor”.

Besides being a director, Tanabandeh is an actor and scriptwriter. ifilm has so far aired some works penned by him, including ‘The Bounced Check’ and ‘A Message from the Afterlife’.
