Iran Television and Cinema (Ghazali) Town in Tehran has unveiled the new busts of veteran Iranian artists.
Held on Tuesday, a number of artists and officials attended the unveiling ceremony in the town.
Iranian dubbing artist Manouchehr Esmaeeli and veteran actor Daryoush Arjmand were present at the program where their busts were showcased.
Busts of the veteran actress Zhaleh Olov and the late actress Jamileh Sheykhi were also uncovered.
In addition, a hand statue of makeup artist Abdollah Eskandari was unveiled at the ceremony.
“I am happy that all those who have made great efforts here are commemorated,” Eskandari said during the ceremony.
He also noted “I must express thanks to those whose concern has been the promotion of the town, and I believe this town has the potential to be turned into an international site.”
The ceremony was attended by the director of the town, Kamal Feyzabadi, and a number of officials from the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
Busts of Jamshid Mashayekhi, Ezzatollah Entezami, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Ali Nasiriyan and Davoud Rashidi, the five stars of ‘Hezar Dastan’, a popular TV series that was made by Ali Hatami in the town during the 1980s, were set up in the town some months ago.
Iran Television and Cinema Town, previously known as Ghazali Cinema Town, represents old Tehran in many historical movies and TV series.
