‘Kimia’ actor joins ‘Dying in Holly water’

Ali Shadman, the actor of the popular series ‘Kimia’, has joined Mahmoudi brothers’ new film ‘Dying in Holy Water’.

The film written and directed by Navid Mahmoudi and produced by Jamshid Mahmoudi has entered preproduction stage and Shadman has been chosen as the film’s first actor.

Mahmoudis’ film narrates the story of some young Afghans who go from Iran to Europe.

The synopsis reads “Rona: Hamed, don’t fear the sea. If you are afraid of anything it’s more likely that it will happen to you. Hamed: I don’t.”

The first screening of the film will be at the Fajr Film Festival.

It’s worth mentioning that Mahmoudi Brothers’ latest offering ‘7.5’ is to premiere at the 24th annual Busan International Film Festival in South Korea in October.
