Iran’s ‘Braceball’ to vie in Australia

Iranian short ‘Braceball’ directed by Reihaneh Mortezaeinia has been selected to compete at 2019 Muslim Film Festival (MFF) in Australia.

The short tells the story of a disabled child who loves to play football. Though the boy is disabled, he does his most to make his dream come true.

The first annual event of MFF will be limited to local and international short films.

As the festival’s website reads its aim is to “promote inclusion, tolerance, friendship and introduce Muslim society, culture and stories to as wide an audience as possible”.

MFF provides the filmmakers and cinephiles with a night of morally-valued and culturally diverse films of Independent cinema.

The first edition of the MFF which is currently underway from September 7-14, 2019 in the Australian city of Melbourne.
