Switzerland screened Iranian ‘Am I a Wolf?’

The latest edition of the Fantoche International Animation Film Fest in Switzerland has screened Iranian short animation ‘Am I a Wolf?’.

Directed by Amir-Houshang Moein, the 8-minute cartoon attended the international competition section of the Swiss film event.

A brief synopsis for the flick reads, “Some school kids are performing a theater called 'The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats'. Everybody has a role. They are totally getting carried away by their roles in a way that the borders between reality and theatrical performance is now hardly realized.

Meanwhile, the child acting as the wolf in the story is scripted to be defeated. That makes him feel lonely and annoyed. As he takes his role too seriously, a bit of chaos startles the group. In the end, the presence of other children and his friends next to him will take him out of this atmosphere.”

‘Am I a Wolf?’ has so far gone on screen at several international film events including, the 29th annual World Festival of Animated Film Zagreb – Animafest Zagreb – in Croatia and the 2019 Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France.

Fantoche International Animation Film Fest which held its 17th edition this year is an animation film festival which takes place annually in the city of Baden, Switzerland.

This year edition of the event was held on September 3-8, 2019.
