Iran shorts have won nominations at the World Independent Short Film Awards-Grand Off in Poland.
The 13th edition of the Polish event has announced the shortlisted works to compete for the awards. Five Iranian shorts attending the event are among the announced titles.
Mohammad Hormozi’s ‘Inner Self’ is nominated for the Best Directing and ‘Qarlavaj’ directed by Ehsan Kamali will be competing for the Best Cinematography award.
Hamidreza Taheri’s ‘Fit In’ is selected as one of the five works competing for the Best Actor award.
Ahmad Monajjemi’s ‘Don’t Forget Today’ is picked at the category of the Best Fiction and ‘The Last Eagle’ directed by Reza Golchin is due to win the Best Animation award.
The World Independent Cinema Awards GRAND OFF is a cultural event that draws attention on the phenomenon of independent cinema and gives it a proper rank, seriousness and prestige.
The latest edition of the Grand Off is slated for November 28 to December 1, 2019 in Warsaw, Poland.
