Iranian short ‘Braceball’ has been crowned the Best Short Film Theme Childhood at the 5th edition of the Atlantic International Film Festival in Colombia.
Directed by Reihaneh Mortezaeenia, ‘Braceball’ narrates the story of a handicapped boy who is fond of football. Despite his disability, the boy does his best to make his dreams come true.
The Atlantic International Film Festival emerged to gather public, filmmakers, theoreticians and other professionals of the cinematographic arts, according to the event’s website.
The festival aims to be “a showcase for the dissemination of contemporary proposals of quality that address the cinematographic language, from any genre,” the website reads.
The 5th edition of the Atlantic International Film Festival took place in Barranquilla on September 11-14, 2019.
