Iranian feature film ‘Astigmatism’ has been set to vie at Yari Iranian Film Festival in Sweden.
Directed by Majid-Reza Mostafavi, the film which soon will enter the home screening market will be in competition at the international competition section of the Swede film event.
The movie narrates the story of a couple, Ensi and Zabin, who live in the suburbs of Tehran expecting a baby, however, their destiny is not as they could predict.
Baran Kosari, Mohsen Kiaee, Hossein Pakdel, Siamak Safari, Hessam Mohammadi, Niki Karimi, Hadi Hejazifar and Behnoush Bakhtiyari are among the cast members of the flick.
‘Astigmatism’ has so far attended a number of international film events including the 12th edition of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) in Australia.
The Yari is organized every year by Yari, an Uppsala-based charity organization that helps street children in Iran to go to school and also raises funds for the construction of schools and libraries for children.
The 19th edition of the Yari is slated for October 12-13, 2019.
