Iran comedy launches shooting

New Iranian comedy feature ‘Selfie with Democracy’ has kicked off shooting stage.

The new war-themed comedy which counts as Ali Atshani’s tenth feature took its first shot indoors inside the studio on Wednesday October 02.

‘Selfie with Democracy’ is about the war veterans and martyrs who sacrificed their lives during Iraq-Iran war.

According to media, the film is the second sequel to Atshani’s 2009 comedy ‘Democracy in Broad Daylight’.

The actors whose appearance in the project has been confirmed so far are Pejman Bazeghi, Poulad Kimiaee, Mehran Rajabi and Atila Pesyani.

Besides vocalizing the score for the flick, Iranian pop vocalist Amir-Abbas Golab will also feature in the film as the angel of death.

According to a media report, the film will benefit visual effects in most of its scenes.
