Iran actress joins Mehrjouee’s new film

Lighter than Darkness’ star Farimah Farjami has joined new cinematic flick ‘A Minor’.

The Iranian actress joined the cast of the film being directed by Dariush Mehrjouee.

Born in 1951, Farjami began her career in radio in 1976 with the play ‘Wax Figurine’. Four years later she debuted with Gholam-Ali Erfan’s film ‘Said All Three of Them’.

She received a Fajr International Film Festival Certificate of Merit for Best Actress for ‘Lead’ and was nominated for a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for ‘Mother’.

‘Saghar’, ‘Water and Fire’, ‘The Red Line’ and ‘Poisonous Honey’ are some other titles which she has appeared in.

‘A Minor’ has so far cast prominent stars such as Ali NasiriyanSiamak AnsariMehrdad Seddiqian and Ali Mosaffa.

Iranian rock vocalist Kaveh Afagh has also been taken on to play a role in the flick.

Reza Dormishian, producer of Mehrjouee’s dark comedy ‘The Orange Suit’, has also joined the production team of the new film.

The screenplay for Mehrjouee’s ‘A Minor’ has been jointly written by the director and Vahideh Mohammadifar.
