Directed by Sven Bresser, the Dutch short ‘The summer and All the Rest’ has been selected to vie at the 36th edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF) in Iran.
The short film has been a success and has participated at several popular festivals such as the Venice International Film Festival in Italy, the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada, the Chicago International Film Festival in the US, etc.
Bresser’s short is the Netherlands production, but it has been filmed in France. The 18-minute film is in French.
The short’s synopsis reads “When at the end of the summer the last ferries with tourists leave the French island of Corsica and most of young Marc-Antoine’s friends have left for the mainland to study or to work, he and his friend Mickael remain behind on the deserted island”.
The 36th TISFF will be held in different sections, including national, international and special. This edition of the event will host a new section dedicated to cinema and book.
Organized by Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS), affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and a member of the International Short Film Conference, the TISFF is aimed to provide an opportunity for young filmmakers to exchange their experiences.
The 36th TISFF is slated for November 10-15, 2019.
