Stockholm Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement is set to be conferred to Iranian actor Peyman Maadi.
The star of blockbuster ‘A Separation’ will grab the award at the 30th edition of the Stockholm International Film Festival.
He will also receive the Bronze Horse award of the Stockholm Filmfest for his appearance in ‘6.5 Per Meter’.
Born in 1972, he started his acting career in Asghar Farhadi’s ‘About Elly’ (2009). Since then, he has been in a number of award-winning movies such as ‘A Separation’ (2011) which won him Best Actor in a leading role from the Berlin International Film Festival.
Some other movies he has been in are ‘Tales’ (2014), ‘Melbourne’ (2014), ‘Life and a Day’ (2016), ‘Bomb a Love Story’ (2018), and ‘Suddenly Tree’ (2019).
Maadi has tried his hand at film directing and has made some titles so far, some of which are ‘The Snow on the Pines’ (2012) and ‘Bomb a Love Story’ (2018).
The Stockholm International Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Stockholm, Sweden, since 1990.
The 30th edition of the event is slated for November 6-17, 2019.
