Iranian short film ‘Better than Neil Armstrong’ has been set to vie at the Izmir International Short Film Festival (IISFF) in Turkey.
The short, which has been written and directed by the award-winning Iranian director Alireza Qasemi, will be attending the main section of the 20th edition of the Turkish film event.
‘Better than Neil Armstrong’ narrates the story of four kids who are planning to travel to the moon on their own spaceship.
Qasemi’s film has already grabbed the Best Cinematography and the Best Movie Soundtrack awards from the 15th Nahal Student Short Film Festival in Iran.
It has also attended the 2019 Lund International Fantastic Film Festival in Sweden.
The International Izmir Short Film Festival is the largest event of its kind in Turkey and the first to award prizes to international short films.
Since its inauguration, this has become one of the country’s most prestigious film festivals. The event draws many respected film figures from beyond Turkey’s borders.
The 20th edition of the IISFF is slated for November 4-10, 2019.
