The Iranian capital city is to host the first artistic award ceremony ‘Heart of Tehran’, on the 230th anniversary of the city.
Tehran was chosen as the Iranian capital for the first time by Agha Mohammad Khan of the Qajar Dynasty in 1786.
The ceremony plans to motivate artists to create artworks on the historical city and its culture and civilization.
The event is to be held in four categories: photography, poster, movie and animation in two ‘main’ and ‘special’ sections.
The officials have announced that the event might have an additional section dedicated to international artworks.
Artists have to submit all their works by April 3, 2017.
All selected works of art will be displayed in an exhibition at the venue from April 14-28.
