‘Dabur’, made by Iranian director Saeed Nejati, has been selected to take part at two competition sections of the 36th Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF) in Iran.
The fiction film, which is produced by Nejat Film and a Turkish production company, will vie at the TISFF’s national and international competition sections this month.
‘Dabur’ is a social film co-written by Nejati and Fatemeh Ashari. The film is about the relation between a father and his teenage girl.
The young filmmaker Nejati has made 14 short films before ‘Dabur’ and has managed to bag awards at several national and international festivals.
Organized by the Iranian Youth cinema Society, the TISFF is one of the oldest short film festivals in Iran and the region.
The TISFF is a member of the International Short Film Conference (ISFC), according to the festival’s website.
The 36th TISFF will take place on November 9-15, 2019.
