‘Shouting at the Wind’ to vie in Sydney

Iranian documentary ‘Shouting at the Wind’ has set to participate at the upcoming edition of the Persian Film Festival in Australia.

Co-directed by Siavash Jamali and Ata Mehrad, the documentary will vie at the 2019 edition of the event which is slated for December.

The social documentary is about an adolescent student living in Darvazeh Ghar district, who has been trying to become a singer for four years. But he faces many issues, including parental opposition and financial problems.

‘Shouting at the Wind’ won the Best Mid-length Documentary Prize at the 12th Cinema Verite, Iran’s International Documentary Film Festival.

Earlier report said that Yasser Talebi’s ‘Beloved’ and ‘Finding Farideh’ co-directed by Azadeh Mousavi and Kourosh Ataee will also vie at the Aussie festival’s documentary section.

The 2019 edition of Persian Film Festival will be held in the Australian city of Sydney on December 4-8.
