Iran’s short ‘Funfair’ wins in France

Iranian short film ‘Funfair’ has garnered the Best Screenplay Award at the 2019 Court en Scène film festival in France.

“Majid, a financially struggling man, comes up with a ploy to better the life of his wife, Sara,” a synopsis for the film reads.

Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, the short was screened at the 17th edition of the Tirana International Film Festival in Albania.

Court en Scène is an opportunity for short films to compete with international contenders. The event enjoys a professional jury, a passionate audience, and friendly meetings.

The fest was slated for November 13-17, 2019.
