Iranian internationally-known actress Fatemeh Motamed-Arya has been chosen as the chairperson of the jury panel at the 24th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) in India.
Motamed-Arya is an acclaimed actress on both stage and screen. Through her more than four-decade career, she has participated at various international festivals and received more than 80 awards.
She has been a juror at more than 60 international film festivals. The popular actress has held master-classes and workshops around the world.
She has also received four awards at Iran’s Fajr Film Festival, including the Golden Tablet for ‘Wasteland’ in 1989, the Crystal Simorgh for ‘Passengers’ in 1992, the Crystal Simorgh for ‘Once And For All’ in 1993, and the Crystal Simorgh for ‘Spouse’ in 1994.
The IFFK is one of the prominent film festivals in India. The event has come to be known as Asia’s best managed and probably the world’s most people-centered film festival.
The festival hosts renowned directors, technicians and spectators from around the world. It aims to present a selection of the best international films.
The IFFK has an exclusive competitive section for films from Asian, African and Latin American countries.
The 24th edition of the IFFK is slated for December 6-13, 2019.
