Iranian short film ‘In the Darkness of Night’ grabs Best Student Film award at KZ Film Festival (FFKZ) in Kazakh capital city of Astana.
The short written and directed by Abolfazl Tajik won the title at 2017 edition of the cinematic event in Kazakhstan, the festival website said, congratulating all winners in various categories of the fest.
“In a dark night in park a man experiences unexpected events that are shocking and unbelievable,” a plot summary for ‘In the Darkness of Night’ read.
Film Festival KZ opened its first season in 2017 in Astana running from March 17 through 19. FFKZ enables all filmmakers from around the world to show their films in Kazakhstan with particular attention to students’ cinematic experiences.
The short film has become an official selection at film events in Iran, Venezuela and India.
