ifilm star Hassan Pourshirazi has lent his voice to Iranian 2020 Oscar submission ‘The Last Fiction’.
Actor in ‘Kimia’ has voice acted for two characters of this new animation. He plays Jamshid, the forth Shah of the Pishdadian dynasty of Persia and Merdas.
Both characters are mythical features which have been mentioned in Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh or The Book of Kings. Merdas is the pious father of Iranian king Zahhak, a cruel monarch who terrorized and devastated his subjects and murdered by his father.
Being one of the industry-leading animations in Iran cinema history, ‘The Last Fiction’ is into the list of the toon hopefuls to vie at the 92nd Academy Awards.
‘Paridokht’ star made his movie debut with ‘Queue’ directed by Ali-Asghar Asgarian.
Pourshirazi has appeared in several movies and series, including ‘Mom's Guests’, ‘The Green Journey’, ‘The Edge of Fire’, ‘Leila's Loneliness’, ‘Brother’ and ‘Reyhaneh’ which have been aired on ifilm.
Hamed Behdad and Leila Hatami are two other big names who have also lent their voice to Iran top-rated animated film.
