Five Iranian short films have been participating at the first edition of the John Abraham International Short Film Festival (JAISFF) in India.
The short films ‘Azadeh’ by Mir-Abbas Khosravinejad, ‘Raheel’ directed by Ayat Asadi-Rahbar and ‘Look at Me for a Moment’ by Mohammed Gharibi and Reza Sheikhlani are among the short films which are representing Iran at the JAISFF, the Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported.
The two other Iranian films which are attending the festival are Baset Zandi’s ‘The Motherland’ and ‘Hidden’ by Saeed Rezaee.
The JAISFF is founded by Joy Mathew in memory of his guru John Abraham who was a legendary Indian filmmaker, short story writer, and screenwriter.
The festival reportedly aims to provide opportunities to connect the short filmmaking community, through networking and collaborative projects and to build an audience for the work of short filmmakers.
The 1st edition of the JAISFF began on December 13 and is set to come to an end on December 15, 2019.
