Born in Tehran, Riahi began acting on stage at the age of 17.
She made her cinematic debut with 'Golden Dreams' in 1951.
Directing ‘Marjan’ in 1956, she made herself known as the first female director in Iran's cinema history.
Riahi has appeared in movies such as 'Mother's Kiss', 'Charlatan', 'Tuberose', 'Little Bird of Happiness', 'In the Storm's Path', 'Two Films with One Ticket', 'The Devoted', 'I Want to Stay Alive', 'A Gift From India', and 'The Eagle's Eye'.
She has also taken part in several series, including 'Italy Italy', 'Neighbors', 'The Spouses', 'The Store', and 'A Guest'.
She has worked as a voice actor and dubbed several famous films such as ‘The War Wagon’ and ‘Gone with the Wind’.
Riahi has been host of many radio and TV programs. She even hosted TV programs for children.
The late actress is the wife of Iranian director Esmaeel Riahi.
