Kourosh Ahari’s debut feature film ‘The Night’ will make the first appearance of Palme d'Or winning actor Shahab Hosseini after four years of absence at the 38th edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
‘The Night’, which has recently finished the technical stage, has also buckled up to participate in global film festivals.
The flick makes Hosseini’s debut performance in the US. He has appeared in a lead role different from his previous performances.
‘The Night’ features actors from Iran and the US. George Maguire, Alistair Lee, Gia Mora and Michael Graham are some of the American actors starring in ‘The Night’.
The movie is about an Iranian couple and their one-year-old daughter who live in the US. They are trapped in a hotel room and are now made to reveal secrets that they long have been hiding from each other.
Iranian producer Mohammad Dormanesh has jointly produced the flick with international partners.
Irish screenwriter and director Terry George has worked in the project as consulting producer of the film. George is a two-time Oscar nominee. He earned his second Academy Award nomination in 2004 for directing, producing and co-writing ‘Hotel Rwanda’.
'The Night' boasts executive producer of ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, Jeffrey Allard, on the production team.
