Kourosh Cineplex has hit a new record for total movie sales in Iran during the first month of the Persian New Year.
The cineplex had the highest number of audiences and special screenings during the first month of the current Persian calendar year (starting March 21, 2017), Farvardin.
In a latest record, moviegoers in Iran spent 2,300,000,000 rials (70,932 USD) at the cineplex’s box office, surpassing previous records made during the same month by the same complex.
On the 12th day of Farvardin month, Kourosh hosts a record of 30 special screenings as well as attracting audiences amounting to 15,950.
The Persian New Year, Nowruz, begins as the first day of spring arrives in Iran, where people hold ceremonies for the onset of the season.
Kourosh Cineplex is based in Iranian capital city of Tehran.
