Big cinematic project ‘Hazrat Masoumeh’ (SA) has kicked off production concurrent with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zainab (SA).
The big-budget project has been launched during a ceremony with the director Javad Afshar and the producer Mojtaba Amini in attendance.
The bioseries will narrate the life story of the sister of the eighth Muslim Imam, Imam Reza (AS) – more specifically her emigration from Medina to Qom where she has been buried.
‘Hazrat Masoumeh’ (SA) is expected to enter the pre-production phase next year when the screenplay has completed editing.
Javad Afshar graduated in directing from Iran Broadcasting University. He has directed ‘Dirty Money’ (2003), ‘Jaber bin Hayyan’ (2006), 'The Edge of Fire' (2011), ‘Motherly’ (2013) and ‘Kimia’ (2013-2015).
Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) was born on the first day of the Islamic lunar month of Dhu al-Qi'dah, approximately on March 22, 790 AD in Medina.
Being one of the biggest religious cities of Iran, Qom hosts the shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) and Jamkaran Mosque that attract so many pilgrims all over the year.
