More celebs slam Soleimani assassination

A number of Iranian celebrities have signed a petition denouncing the US terror attack martyring Major General Qasem Soleimani, calling on free people around the world to condemn acts of terrorism.

The statement accompanied by the ongoing petition reads:

“We, artists of Iran, from various backgrounds and ideologies, condemn terrorism in all shapes and forms. The new conflicts generated by the US government which serve to reinstate destruction and bloodshed in the Middle East/Western Asia region, expand the sales of weapons and destroy the human and material resources of innocent nations are rebuked and denounced by the entirety of the free world.

By condemning the terrorist attack that resulted in the martyrdom of Major General Qassem Soleimani, we ask all intellectuals, artists, and peace-lovers in Iran, the region, and across the world to show, in their actions, that there can be no excuse for the justification of terrorism in the world; terrorism is denounced.”

Up to this point, the petition has been signed by numerous artists and celebrities including Parviz Parastoui, Kamal Tabrizi, Manouchehr Shahsavari, Farhad Aslani, Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian, Masoud Najafi, Bahareh Rahnama, Alireza Shojanouri, Behrouz Shoaibi, Mostafa Kiyayi, Ali Sartipi, Narges Abyar, Mohsen Tanabandeh, Laleh Sabouri and Sirous Moqadam, among others.

The gathering of signatures for the petition has been organized by the public relations office of Iran’s House of Cinema.
