Iranian ‘Talla’ to vie in Bangladesh

Iran’s feature ‘Talla’ has been selected to compete at the 18th edition of the Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh.

Directed by Parviz Shahbazi and produced by Rambod Javan as well as Mohammad Shayesteh, the movie will compete at Asian Film Competition section of the Bangladeshi event.

‘Talla’ tells the story of three people who are tired of working for others and long to start a new business of their own.

Bored of being humiliated by others, they want to get rich and escape the humiliation.

But getting rich is not that easy. So, they encounter a lot of problems to gain their goal.

Some of the cast members of the film are Negar Javaherian, Houman Seyyedi, Tannaz Tabatabaee, Hoda Zeinolabedin, Ehteram Boroumand and Mehrdad Seddiqian.

The Feast of the Goat’ by Saeed Zamanian, ‘Patio’ by Maryam Bahrololoumi, ‘Driving Lessons’ by Marzieh Riahi, ‘Finding Farideh’ by Azadeh Mousavi and Kourosh Ataee, ‘Elephantbird’ by Amir-Masoud Soheili, ‘Oath’ by Mohsen Tanabandeh, ‘Beloved’ by Yasser Talebi, ‘Axing’ by Behrouz Shoeibi, ‘Takhti, the World Champion’ by Bahram Tavakkoli, ‘Castle of Dreams’ by Reza Mirkarimi, ‘A Man without a Shadow’ by Alireza Raeesian, as well as ‘23 People’ by Mehdi Jafari are among the other Iranian titles at the Dhaka event.

Since 1977, the Dhaka fest has been promoting a healthy culture in the film industry in Bangladesh with the main theme of “Better Film, Better Audience, Better Society.”

This 18th edition of the event is slated for January 11-19, 2020.
