Born in Tehran, Riahi began acting on stage at the age of 17.
She made her cinematic debut with 'Golden Dreams' in 1951.
Directing ‘Marjan’ in 1956, she made herself known as the first female director in Iran's cinema history.
ifilm English TV broadcasted the movies ‘I Want to Stay Alive’ and ‘A Gift from India’ in which Riahi had played.
