The official lineup to vie at National Competition section of the Fajr Film Festival has been announced.
The 38th edition of the Fajr Film Festival will have a total number of 22 films in competition at its main competition section. The films that have been officially picked are as follows:

3. ‘That Night’ directed by Kourosh Ahari
4. ‘The Cloud Wants to Rain’ directed by Majid Barzegar
5. ‘Skin’ co-directed by Bahman and Bahram Ark
6. ‘Touman’ directed by Morteza Farshbaf
7. ‘Exit’ directed by Ebrahim Hatamikia
8. ‘The Good, the Bad, the Corny2: Secret Army’ directed by Peyman Qasemkhani
9. ‘The Sun’ directed by Majid Majidi
10. ‘It Became Blood’ directed by Masoud Kimiaee
11. ‘Walnut Tree’ directed by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian
12. ‘Amphibian’ directed by Borzou Niknejad
13. ‘The Day of Uprising’ directed by Behrouz Shoeibi
14. ‘Zero Day’ directed by Saeed Malekan
15. ‘Three Years in Prison’ directed by Saman Salvar
16. ‘City of Story Cinema’ directed by Keivan Ali-Mohammadi
17. ‘Butterfly Stroke’ directed by Mohammad Kart

The selection committee is comprised of Mohammad Ehsani, Mahmoud Arbabi, Homayoun Asadian, Yalda Jebeli, Reza Dorostkar, Mahmoud Razavi and Hossein Karami.
Established in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.
Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.
Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
The 38th Fajr Film Festival is set to kick off on February 1, 2020 and will run till February 11 in Tehran.
