The Elles Tournent Film Festival in Belgium has set to host Iranian short ‘Gaze’.
Directed by Farnoush Samadi, the 15-minute film will be in competition at the 12th edition of the Belgian film event.
The short film is about a woman who witnesses something happening on a bus while commuting home from work. She has to decide whether to bring it out to the public or not.
'Gaze' has so far attended a number of internationally famous film festivals and won many awards including, the best film by audience choice at the Minimalen Short Film Festival in Norway and the Best Short Film award at the Guanajuato International Film Festival in Mexico.
The screenplay for the flick has been the result of collaboration between Samadi and Ali Asgari. In 2018, both the writers were selected by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences in the US to become members.
The latest edition of the Elles Tournent Film Festival, which is slated for January 23-26, 2020, is dedicated to films made by women.
