Iranian short film ‘Celebration’ has been set to attend the ifva Awards in China.
Directed by Behnam Abedi, the short will be attending the 25th edition of the Chinese awards ceremony.
“Something unexpected happens on the reopening night of a renovated funfair which sabotages the opening ceremony,” a brief synopsis of the flick reads.
Pejman Yavari, Amir-Ahmad Qazvini, Navid Nouri and Farshad Ershadi are the cast members of ‘Celebration’.
The short is also set to compete at the Slamdance film Festival which will be held on January 24-30 in the US.
‘The city of Honey’, ‘Mandatory’ and ‘This side-Other Side’ are three other Iranian titles to attend this year edition of the ifva Awards.
According to the official website of the event, this year's edition of the awards ceremony is looking for the “hidden power of creativity, just like a little body could harbor a great soul to embrace whatever happened around the world, and chase any dreams that you’ve ever imagined.”
The 25th edition of the ifva Awards is slated for February 26-March 7, 2020.
