Iranian short film ‘The Sea Swells’ has been set to attend the Third Eye Asian Film Festival in India.
Written and directed by Amir Gholami, the 16-minute flick will be in competition with 25 other works at the 18th edition of the Indian film event.
‘The Sea Swells’ is a surreal narration of an old man’s life. The man lives in a hut floating on the sea. What the man does is to make coffin for the ones who have lost their lives in the war.
Mohammad Raouf Mohammad is the only star of the flick.
The film has so far attended a number of international events and succeded to win awards including the best film award at the AMITY filmfest in Turkey, GoE Bridging Award at Veteran film Festival in Australia.
Third Eye Asian Film Festival is to promote Asian cinema using multi-pronged approach of cultural activities.
The upcoming edition of the festival is to take place on March 1-6, 2020 in Mumbai.
