Iran to make Martyr Soleimani’s doc

The Art Bureau for Children and Young Adults has set to make a documentary about Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani’s affection for children.

Art Bureau Deputy Director for Cultural Affairs Hamid Hosseinzadeh held a press release on Sunday saying “Martyr Soleimani and his kind behavior toward children will be the main topic of the documentary.”

Hosseinzadeh also noted that “Soleimani’s affection towards children especially the children of those Iranian soldiers who were martyred by ISIS terrorists in Syria was very special and was one of the lasting aspects of his character.”

“Any image that narrates specific aspects and bravery of the martyr needs to be recorded and preserved for future generations to show how this national and international hero achieved such a high position and won the hearts,” the official added.

Hosseinzadeh didn’t give any information about the director and crew members of the documentary which will be filmed on several locations in Tehran and Kerman, Soleimani’s hometown.

The documentary will be prepared for screening during the Week of Islamic Revolution Arts in April 2020.

Soleimani, 62, was martyred during a US drone strike near Baghdad International Airport early January. The general was one of the top military leaders in Iran.

He was the long-time head of the elite Quds Force, a branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
