Cinematography for Iranian film ‘Gilda’ by Keyvan Mohammadi and Omid Bonakdar has wrapped up.
The editing and cinematography phases of the movie were carried out at the same time and a copy of the flick will be sent to Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
Meanwhile, noted Iranian actress Mahnaz Afshar has taken on a whole new look for ‘Gilda’.
The movie‘s cinematography started in a building in northern part of Iranian capital city of Tehran with Ms. Afshar sporting a fresh look in ‘Gilda’.
The movie narrates the story of a restaurant owner, named Gilda, who spends the darkest night of her life.
‘Gilda’ is the forth joint cinematic project produced and directed by Bonakdar and Alimohammadi.
Afshar completed a film-editing course at the Hannaneh Cultural Institute in Tehran, Iran.
She began acting with the series 'Missing' in 1998, and later appeared in the series 'Love is not Closed' (2014).
In 2011, she won the Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for 'Sa’adat Abad' (2010). In 2012, she won the Crystal Simorgh and Fajr Festival Certificate of Merit for Best Actress in a Leading Role for 'Snow on the Pines' (2011).
