Iranian short ‘The Feast of the Goat’ has been set to attend the Taos Shortz Film Festival (TSFF) in the US.
Directed by Saeed Zamanian, the short flick will be in competition at the 14th edition of the US event. The screening slot designated to the flick will be on March 20.
The 13-minute flick narrates the story of a city boy whose loneliness drives him to make friend with a goat. On the day the goat is sacrificed during a votive ritual, the boy cannot let go of the animal.
“Children never forget anything”, reads a tagline for the short.
Toumaj Danesh-Behzadi, Sepideh Dastineh and Yazdan Kokabi-Saba comprise the cast of ‘The Feast of the Goat’.
The Taos Shortz Film Festival showcases cinematic works from around the world and gives filmmaking enthusiasts attend workshops and film discussion forums.
The latest edition of the TSFF is slated for March 20-22, 2020.
