US to welcome Iranian ‘Cleaner’

Iranian short ‘Cleaner’ has been selected to compete at the 15th Beloit International Film Festival (BIFF) in the US.

Directed by Mohammad-Reza Meyqani, the 13-minute short is about a young maid who cleans bathrooms at a shopping mall. She seems to be impatient and worried to get the results of a test.

The screenplay for the flick has been developed by the director, and Baran Sarmadi has been in charge of the film’s production.

Iranian ‘Cleaner’ has taken part at some global events, including the 2019 Richard Harris International Film Festival in Ireland and the 2019 St Cloud Film Festival in the US.

The BIFF is a ten-day event that celebrates independent films from around the world.

Filmmakers from different parts of the world, ranging from the US to Asia, participate at the event.

The 15th edition of the BIFF is slated for February 21-March 1, 2020.
