‘Day of Uprising’ releases new picture

The first picture of Babak Hamidian with his new makeup in ‘Day of Uprising’ has been unveiled.

In the movie, directed by Behrouz Shoeibi, Hamidian features the role of a clergyman.

To be in the running at Soday-e Simorgh main competition section of the 38th Fajr Film Festival, ‘Day of Uprising’ has been picked as one of the nine popular movies by the audience at the Fajr event.

Other than Hamidian, the film includes some top-notch cast members such as Daryoush Arjmand and Leila Zare.

Renowned Iranian music maestro Karen Homayounfar is to compose score for the flick.

“Emad is a well-known university professor and a TV personality. He is faced with new charges by police that put him and his family in a complicated situation,” reads as the plot summery to the film.

‘Day of Uprising’ makes the fourth directorial experience of Shoeibi after ‘The Corridor’, ‘Cyanide’ and ‘Axing’.
